Gary Bischoff

Gary Bischoff who is seeking re-election to the Legislature has been fearless in taking on the power brokers who try to manipulate the political system. He is widely respected as an advocate for open government, fiscal responsibility and political accountability. Gary originally served as Legislator from January 1992 through December 1995, and January 2002 to December 2003, including one year as Minority Leader where he led the opposition to the building of a new county jail and forewarned about the exorbitant costs to the taxpayers and the need to be fiscally responsible.

Marcy Goulart

Marcy Goulart is a seasoned business woman, who has excelled in a variety of businesses. The daughter of a Gloucester fisherman and the youngest of eight, she began her working life at an early as a performer in the entertainment industry. She bought her first building in New York at the age of twenty five and with her husband, successfully owned and operated several three-star French restaurants. Marcy was a commercial property manager in both the public & private sectors. As an Ulster County Realtor she has received recognition as a Realtor Associate of the Year.

Alverta Jones

Alverta Jones is the eldest of eight children born to Reverend & Mrs. Oscar Palmer in Kingston, NY. She was educated in the Kingston Public Schools and SUNY at New Paltz. At SUNY New Paltz she majored in Political Science and her minor was Black Studies. While a student at SUNY New Paltz, Alverta felt she was blessed to have had many wonderful instructors and professors. According to Alverta, “Each one in his or her own way inspired her to want to know more, do more.” It was while a student at SUNY New Paltz, that Alverta was able to participate in the Model UN at Harvard University. The thrill of her life.

Nicole Tucker

Nicole Tucker is a lifelong resident of Saugerties and a graduate of Saugerties High School.  She received her BA from Western New England College in History Education.  While at WNEC, she played a large role in student government and peer leadership programs.  Upon graduation, Nicole moved to Washington, D.C. and accepted a job with the Close-Up Foundation.  This non-profit organization’s goal was to teach our nation’s youth about our government and their role in the democratic process.    It was here, in Washington, D.C., that her passion for government, history and education was solidified.  Upon the completion of a very successful program season at Close-Up, Nicole decided to move back home to Saugerties to begin her career as a Social Studies teacher and to complete her education at SUNY New Paltz.
