Gary is a proven leader with a record of success in the Ulster County Legislature and on the Saugerties Town Board. Some examples of accomplishments include:
- Led a bipartisian effort change the initial 911 plan from four separate facilities to one central 911 center. Since these centers are staffed 24/7, the savings to taxpayers have amounted to millions of dollars.
- Received a Leadership Award for an inovative idea to save money and put more police on the street.
- Was instrumental in putting together four budgets with no tax increase while on the Saugerties Town Board.
- Worked with new Democratic majority in legislature to stop double digit tax increases and control county spending.
- Works closely with County Executive to continually improve county government.
Family:
Gary has lived in Saugerties for 37 years with his wife Marge and have 2 children and is currently doting on his two recent family additons... his two grandchildren Fiona and Caoilainn.
